All I’m Sayin’ Is…🫦
My house is a literal animal house.

Now,
let me remind you
—my “children,”
are all over 30 years old.

Yet
Still act like a bunch of teenagers sometimes.🤷🏾‍♀️

And of course,
they’ve all managed to collect animals🐕🐈
that they’re
NOT
fully capable of caring for.

Sound familiar to any other parents out there?

So here’s the rundown:

My daughter’s cat had two kittens she isn’t feeding,
so now out of pure moral decency
we’re bottle-feeding
these tiny babies
special milk formula around the clock.

My son’s dog Kane
—a Red-Nose Pitbull
I begged my son Bubba
not to get
(though he gets a pass because of his mental health)
—has severe allergies.
And y’all who own special breeds
know exactly
what kind of expensive,
high-maintenance
situation that is.

Benadryl daily.💊

Then there’s
Scrappy Dee, 🐶
my dog, ❤️❤️❤️
who I took in
from their drughead little brother.

I can’t even talk too much mess about him
though,
because my own kids
have had their addiction struggles too.

And let’s not forget Jazzy😼
—the cat who literally
just walked into our house
during COVID,
hopped on the back of the couch
behind my son Bubba,
and she's never left.
She Bourgie!
(that's pronounced Boo-Gee🤣)

She claimed us,
and that was that.

So yeah…
it’s an animal house
over here.

This morning
I was busy letting cats out
like it’s a revolving door
to the litter box (it's in the attached garage).

Now
I’m finally sitting down,
trying to pay bills,
write,
and get some paperwork filed away
if I'm lucky,
before 3 p.m.

Hopefully,
I can make some progress…
though I still have to clean this house. 🤷🏾‍♀️

All I’m sayin’ is…🫦
lyfe is never quiet,
never simple,
but it’s mine.
