Learn From It, Don’t Live in It 💭

So,
I just have a quick thought 💭.
And honestly,
it’s not even
an original thought
of mine
—I believe—
I once heard
the legendary Jennifer Lewis 👑
speak on it.
But it stuck with me,
and
I gotta share.
It’s about mistakes.
Those moments in life
we label
as failures.
All I’m sayin’ is…🫦
learn from your mistakes,
don’t live in them.
Now,
don’t get me wrong
—I’m not saying—
we get to excuse bad behavior
or
brush off intentional wrongdoing
with some nonchalant shrug.
Nah.
What I am saying is this:
grieve if you need to,
cry,
get mad,
whine,
stomp your feet
—whatever’s healthy for you—
in the moment.
Shit happens, riiight?
But don’t live there.
Don’t pitch a tent
and
build a house
in your mistakes.
At the end of the day,
—remember—
you’re dust.
That’s where you're from and that's where you’re headed.
You’re just a baby in God’s eyes.
So, humble yourself.
Ask Him for forgiveness.
Try not to keep repeating the same thing
over and over again,
because if you do…
let’s be real
—that’s no longer an error—
that’s a lifestyle choice.
And through it all,
don’t give up on you.
This life,
—this journey—
it’s between you and God.
Be at peace. 🕊️
