Finding Peace in a World That’s Doing the Most🕊️

a woman kneeling in her garden praying, while the first snow appears and begins to fall

WOW.

Let’s just start there.

Because

the way this

world is spinning

right now?

Whew.

It’s a lot.

Some days

it feels like

being a “minority”

comes with

a new headline every hour.

Add to that

being a woman,

living in a generation

that’s being

groomed

to run off self-hate,

distraction,

and pleasure chasing

—and baby…

how are we supposed

to find

real peace of mind

in all

this mess?

The shit is crazy, right?

How can you

possibly find peace?

So,

let me say this first:

Pray.

My God's name is Jehovah.

So, that is who I pray to.

So,

you're free

to use Him

if you don't know...

He loves ya.

But that's not where going.

You got to pray constantly.

Ask for peace,

for guidance,

for clarity.

Because

as wild as life gets,

that’s still

the One I know who

makes it so

the noise can’t follow me.

Any who, try it.🤷🏾‍♀️

Now

—after that?

Remember,

I’m not a therapist.

I’m not even

somebody who

gets it right

every day, week, or year…

trust me.

Some days,

I don’t

live up to

my own standards,

even with the best intentions.

But here’s

what I do tell my kids

—My son (the one who still talks to me).

My daughters (the ones that still listen).

And honestly,

anybody who’s trying

to stay sane

out here:

Take care of your health.

Eat like

you love your body.

Move your body.

And deal

with your mental stuff

with a real professional

—not your friends,

not social media,

not a drink,

not vibes.

An actual therapist.

After that?

Do the thing you enjoy.

That thing you quit.

That thing you never started.

That thing you

buried under bills,

heartbreak,

fear,

or responsibilities.

If you’re physically able

—pick it back up.

If you’re not

—make it your goal to get there.

And listen…

don’t take these

“uneventful”

days for granted.

If tragedy isn’t knocking

at your door today?

Be grateful!🕊️

Love your people.

Let them know.

And thank God for the quiet.

Because like my boy

Martin Lawrence

once said:

“No one

is immune

to the trials

and

tribulations of life.”

All I’m sayin’ is…🫦

Hold on to peace

wherever you can find it.

Because life

is wild enough

—you deserve calm on the inside,

especially

when the outside

is doing

the most.🤷🏾‍♀️
